A rank. Commodore is the first Flag Officerrank in Starfleet. It is most often applied to Commanding Officers aboard starships and starbases, as well as others holding official administrative positions within Starfleet.
This Starfleet rank is designated on the uniform collar by a single gold pip in a gold box.
