Dyson Sphere
From Hidden Frontier
A Dyson Sphere is a sphere which completely surrounds a star. It has a radius such that the inner surface of the sphere is within the star's habitable zone; the area where conditions can support life. If we assume the radius of the sphere is one AU, that is, 93 million miles, the average distance from the Earth to the Sun, Dyson spheres have colossal amounts of livable area. This can be calculated to almost 109 quadrillion square miles. The Earth, by contrast has a surface area of only 196 million square miles.
Dyson Spheres were first conceived by the scientist Freeman Dyson in 1960.

On Stardate 46125.3, a Dyson Sphere was discovered in empty space by the USS Enterprise, though it was never discovered what civilization constructed it.
On Stardate 58532.1, Starfleet discovered that the Grey had constructed a Dyson Sphere around their home star using millions of tetrahedrons as a building material.
